Edible Images with the help of Pila's Pantry in Norco

This week we appreciate Pila's Pantry.  Whenever we need edible images made, we direct all of our customers to get them printed at Pila's Pantry in Norco.  This amazing cake supply store also makes delicious cupcakes and offers so many classes each month.  Our daughter recently took the caramel apple class which was great and delicious.  Enjoy your free dozen cookies this week and thank you Pila's for helping us create some amazing edible image cookies.

Two Corona locations to get your Frosted Sugar Cookie fix this season...

Crave in Corona is one of our newest partners in the community.  Leading up to our 12th anniversary of Crumbles this November, we recognize and appreciate Inette and her team with a dozen free cookies to enjoy this week.  You'll find some seasonal or sometimes spooky frosted sugar cookies from Crumbles later in the week through the weekend or until their gone.  Go in and get a great coffee and enjoy!

Helping the Corona Norco Rescue Mission...

Three years ago, we partnered with Restoration Roasters on the Crossroads Church Campus off of Kellogg/Ontario in Corona.  We have a special connection to the Rescue Mission and wanted to be a part of what they do.  We started wholesaling some of our most popular cookies, seasonal breads, scones and cinnamon coffee cake delivered 4 times a week.  It is so fun when someone comes into our store and says they found us through Restoration Roasters.   All the net proceeds at Restoration Roasters goes back to our community through the Rescue Mission.  Some of the employees are volunteers as well as students from the mission.  It is a wonderful atmosphere, a friendly and hlepful staff serving up delicious coffee drinks.  We also brew their specialty Hand Up coffeeright in our store if you want to give it a try.

Say hi to Kristen next time you are at Restoration Roasters!

Fresh baked, a state of mind ...and being.

I was just a 5th grade scrubby kid, back in 1976, when my mom encouraged me to enter a cake baking contest at my elementary School, in Ontario CA.  If we were to bake, I knew I would get a chance to sample some of the goodness we would make, I agreed.  The colors were red, white and blue, for our country's bicentennial year, and we were going to bake a 1/4-sheet cake with two cup cakes on pedestals.  A number of other students entered their cakes as well, but two other kids and myself won prizes based on decoration and uniqueness, I got first for my cake.  They put our pictures in the local newspaper.  I was beside my self, but knew that the help I received from my mom was vital.  She (Ferne Yoder) was the source of my strength, as a kid, she grew up in a farming community in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.  She and her sisters cooked/baked for their hired help on their farm, so she had all the credentials for being a great chef.  Maybe this has something to do with why I have that creativity to bake great things.
